We are a creative studio of dreamers and doers. With over 10 years of working in design and production, we created Wide Awake as a space for us to play, experiment and push beyond the expected.

About

Hello! We are Paloma Cortez and Pamela Rachél, two Texas natives that decided to take a leap and start our own creative studio. With over 10 years of working in creative ideation and production we launched Wide Awake as a way to contribute work that sparks curiosity and tells a story.  We are not a big team and pride ourselves on being small and untraditional, so that we can give time and attention to each project.

Our Team

We are not a big team and pride ourselves on being small and untraditional, so that we can give time and attention to our work and adapt to meet our client's needs. We have a strong network of contract designers, innovators and builders to help build a team specific to your project.

After 10 years of working in creative ideation and production, we started Wide Awake as a way to contribute work that sparks curiosity and tells a story. The most important thing was to create a space for female minorities to work in the creative mainstream world without being labeled as multicultural. It’s been inspiring to others and ourselves.

Downtown San Antonio’s historic Aztec Theatre is preparing to host a weeklong immersive pop-up art experience starting later this week. The event is co-presented by beer brand Pabst Blue Ribbon and local creative agency Wide Awake. Entitled “In Living Pixels,” the immersive show will feature work by seven San Antonio-based artists and will be free to the public.

The Pabst Brewing Company arrived in San Antonio last year with fanfare around its commitment to local culture and ambitious plans for producing events. Seven local artists are the beneficiaries of this attention in an exhibition of installation art opening Friday at the Aztec Theatre downtown.

In the final preparations for the permanent exhibit space Hopscotch in San Antonio, open to the public Oct. 2, Inman listened in on some early submissions to “Secrets,” an installation by San Antonio-based Wide Awake Creative, which encourages participants to share secrets by phone. The secrets are churned through a database and anonymously shared with Hopscotch visitors, who hear them over phones.
